Dexter Hill Obituary
Dexter Hill age 56, of Monroe, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Born in Hartsville, SC, he had been a Bridgeport resident for over 40 years and a resident of Monroe for the past 7. He worked as a tractor-trailer driver for over 36 years. He was a member of Mt. Aery Baptist Church. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing his drums, and DJ'ing. He was predeceased by his son, Ronnie Hill. Survivors include: his wife, Antoinette Hill of Monroe; 1 daughter, Andrea Hill, Monroe, 2 grandsons, Justice Hill and Victor Harris; his parents, Jeffrey and Bernetha Hill; 2 brothers, Andrew and Bobby Hill; 2 sisters, Bernadette McCall and Theresa Hill; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held 11am Saturday at Mt. Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank Street, Bridgeport, with Pastor Anthony L. Bennett, D.Min., officiating. Interment immediately following in Mtn. Grove Cemetery. Friends are invited to the viewing from 9-11am at the church. See mortonsmortuary.com

Father God, in the Name of Jesus,
I pray for my family in the loss of my dear, beloved cousin Dexter Ronnie Hill. I pray for your love, grace and mercy of strength, comfort & safety to overshadow them during this time. I pray the relief of bitterness & despair & the release of the greatest experience in knowing you as Jehovah Jireh & Jehovah Shalom in providing healing & peace. I pray that they have the will to continue to nourish, provide rest & professional care for their bodies, minds & spirit & they focus on good & pleasant things, but also know TEARS have a cleansing, anti-depressant anti-anxiety effect. Help them to realize that You know their pain & it is Your desire for them to be strong survivors. Help them to stand on Your "Word" knowing they're not forgotten & you will bring them out of the dark places into a marvelous light. Help them to know you as their "SHEPHERD" & continue to hope for fresh, continuous Greener Pastures (peace) Soul Restoration (healing), Guidance, comfort & protection of being covered in the blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
