Dimitrios Chirigos Obituary

CHIRIGOS Dimitrios (Jimmy the Greek) Chirigos, age 47, of Bridgeport, died Sunday, September 4, 2005, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Thebia, Greece, he was the son of Georgia Avramapoulos Chirigos and the late George Chirigos. A resident of Bridgeport since 1970, he was a self employed automotive mechanic who enjoyed riding his Harley throughout the state. Survivors include his three children, Alessandra Donnarumma of Middlebury and Jimmy and Nicholas Chirigos of Bridgeport; a brother, Kostantinos Chirigos and his wife, Linda; a sister, Alicia Cruz, all of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, at 10:45 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Demetrios Recachinas officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street (on the Trumbull line). Trisagion services on Wednesday, at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your lose. I wish I could be there for the funeral, but I just moved to Florida a month ago. Jimmy was a good guy, I've always considered you both family (cousins). If there is anything I can do please email me. Take care, you'll be in my prayers
