Don was my 6th grade teacher, later a football coach , and a fellow teacher. Always a straight shooter, friend and a tell it like it was person. We lost a Icon, and a leader of young people.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Don Margiano. I was in his first class at Ferry School. He was an amazing teacher, unforgettable after all these years. Good teachers last in the memory of their students. Mr. Margiano was one of those special ones. C (Walker) Ludwig

Dear Keith and Family,
Words cannot express my sadness upon learning of the death of my beloved 6th grade teacher, Mr. Margiano. I was honored to have been a student in his very first class at Ferry School. I am so happy that I reconnected with him two years ago! I will treasure always the photos I took that day at the "Over the Hill" Tavern, as well as my memories of the best teacher I ever had! You will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known you!
The world has lost a truly remarkable man!
Rest in Peace, dear Mr. Margiano.
Sincerely,
and with Deepest Sympathy,
Jackie Weide Coppola

I have good memories of Mr. Margiano from SHS gym class. Like Mark Schneider, I too remember the famous "Let's get that towel money in" comment. My children say that whenever they need towels in their bathroom.
May he rest in peace.

Don, you were my teacher, coach, colleague, and a wonderful friend. You were always cool, calm, and collected even when I drove you crazy in fifth grade at Ferry School. You left an impression on me then which later rekindled our friendship at Shelton High and has lasted ever since. I love you Mr. Marge and I will miss you. God Bless You. Don Ramia
