Doris P. (Damiani) Proulx, 77, of Somerset passed away on Friday January 4, 2013 at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Lionel A. Proulx. Doris was born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late Joseph and Assuntina (Paoli) Damiani. She graduated from Pawtucket East High School class of 1953. Doris worked at the Robeson Company as an office worker for several years in Providence. Mrs. Proulx then worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a tax preparer and the then for the Department of Labor and Training in Fall River as a claims adjuster, until she retired in 2001. Doris was a communicant, Lector, Eucharistic Minister and the recipient in 2007 of the Marion Medal, at Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Doris loved to cook and crochet. Survivors are four sons: Bertrand L. Proulx of Woburn, MA; Denis C. Proulx and his wife Katherine of Billerica, MA; Thomas J. Proulx and his wife Cynthia of Littleton, MA; Matthew S. Proulx and his wife Christine of Fairfield, CT; eight grandchildren: Nicole, Daniel, Emily, Tyler, Mattie, Amy, Erin and Molly; four sisters: Josephine Lama of Pawtucket, RI; Lena Taylor of Danvers, MA; Pauline Dulieu and her husband George of Pawtucket, RI; Carol Dick and her husband Robert of Coventry, RI; a brother: Robert Damiani and his wife Jane of Seekonk, MA; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Samuel Damaini. Her Funeral Service will be held on TUESDAY at 9am from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Louis de France Church 56 Buffington Street, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
