Dorothy Heitmann Rogowski, age 90, of Shelton entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Rogowski. Dorothy was born in Trenton, New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Cecelia (Krulikowski) Heitmann. Dorothy was a Shelton resident for most of her life. She was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church for many years and enjoyed serving on the altar guild, visiting the elderly, and attending prayer group and Bible study. She also enjoyed travel with her family, especially trips to the Maine coast. She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl and Ed. She is survived by her daughter Kathy, grandchildren Sam and Julia Garrett, sister Cecelia Heitmann, and brother Pete. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Madelyn. On Saturday, friends may call at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for her funeral service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on the Huntington Green at 11:00 a.m. Her burial will be at Lawn Cemetery in the spring.
