Douglas Norko Obituary
Douglas M. Norko, age 72, of Stratford, entered eternal rest at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his family on July 1, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann Dawidowski Norko. Doug was born in Bridgeport on June 25, 1952, to the late Joseph and Charlotte (Pieger) Norko and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School and was a retired gear specialist for Sikorsky Aircraft. Doug also enjoyed spending time with his beloved dogs, Tadashi and Hitoshi. He also loved to go fishing with his sons and grandkids. Survivors in addition to his wife of 52 years include his devoted children, Shannon McQuilton, Christopher Norko and his wife Janine, Joshua Norko and Brandon Norko, 6 cherished grandchildren, Danielle, Jordyn, Tyler, Sydnee, Samantha, and Charlotte, 7 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Viviana, Kholby, Paisleigh, Elija, Micha and Graysen, brothers, Robert Norko and Richard Norko and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those desiring, please make a donation to the animal rescue of your choice in memory of Doug. Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford. To make an online condolence, please visit www.adzimafuneralhome.com.
