Edith Ljungquist Obituary
Edith Dean Ljungquist Laird, age 81, of Naugatuck, entered into rest on Friday September 21, 2012 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Mrs. Laird was born in Bridgeport daughter of the late Archibald and Gertrude(Cannon) Dean, and was a valley resident for most of her life.
She was employed as a home companion for many years, and enjoyed playing BINGO, doing puzzles, and was an avid NY Giant's, and Yankee's fan. She is the beloved mother of Allen Ljungquist, William Ljungquist, Keith Ljungquist, Chris Ljungquist, Linda Greco, Paulette Ljungquist, Cheryl Ozelski, Colene Hebert, and the late Paul Ljungquist, Brenda Ljungquist, and Charlene Ljunquist. She is the sister of Frank Dean, Grace Passaro, Patty Filanowski, and Ellie Carra. She also leaves many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Thursday in St. Joseph Church 424 Coram Ave. Shelton. Burial will be private.
