Edith Tokay Obituary

TOKAY Edith Maria Bella Tokay, age 72, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born and raised in Sopron, Hungary, she received her Master's degree in Economics from the University of Budapest. Maria came to the United States in 1956, first residing in Michigan where she met her late husband, John Tokay, and moved to New York before settling in Connecticut. She was a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother. She is remembered by her two daughters, Kinga Wall of Milford, Nada Perlenberg of Sweden; two grandchildren, Csaba Perlenberg, Kaitlin Maria Wall; a niece and a nephew. She was also predeceased by her sister, Ilona Nagy. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a 7 p.m. prayer service officiated by Father Victor Martin. Her interment in Hungary will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to: Archway (a fund established to help Romanian Orphans) through the funeral home.
