Edward Conroy Obituary
Edward P. Conroy, age 83, of Oxford entered into rest on Thursday Jan. 1, 2015 at the Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Sally (Zontok) Conroy. Mr. Conroy was born in Ansonia, on Dec. 26, 1931 son of the late Charles and Katherine (Johnson) Conroy. He was employed by Beard Concrete for 26 years until his retirement. Mr. Conroy loved polka music, cooking and tinkering with things, always using good old Yankee ingenuity. Mr. Conroy is the beloved father of Edward, Wayne and Ronald Conroy, step-father of, Patti Anstett, Sandy Rose, Linda Eucalitto, Joseph and Jeffrey Nadeau and brother of Charles Conroy. He is the loving grandfather of many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mr. Conroy is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sons, Bobby and David Conroy, a daughter Judy Christenson, brothers, Richard, Howard, Harold and William Conroy and a sister Eleanor Zampano. The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton is entrusted with his arrangements which are private. Leave condolences to his family at www.riverviewfh.com.

Ed, Ron & Wayne, I'm sorry for your loss. Your dad was one of a kind, he could fix anything! I remember him with the damn polka music and the races. There are tons of crazy memories..... my condolences to all of you and your Mom.
