Edward Palcak Obituary
Edward A. Palcak Sr., 90 years old, of Marietta, GA, passed away November 9th, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 17th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
Edward is survived by children, Sandra Palcak Jennings and Eddie Palcak, Jr. (Michele); and grandchildren, Justin Jennings (Taralynn) and Alexa Jennings. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Jewell Palcak, daughter, Deborah Palcak; and sister, Marlene Scippa. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on November 13, 1934, Edward graduated from Fairfield Prep before serving in the U.S. Navy. During his service, he met his wife, Jewell Foster, in Charleston, at the movies. After marriage, they settled in Shelton, CT, where they raised three children together. Edward worked in data processing. He joined the Navy Reserves in 1971, retiring after 23 years.
In 1998, Edward and Jewell moved to Powder Springs, Georgia, to be close to family. During retirement, he worked at Dobbins Air Force Base, volunteered at election polls, and went to the VFW. Edward and Jewell enjoyed getting together with family and friends and going out with their dance group whenever they could. For the past five years, he lived at Winnwood Retirement community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Edward Arthur Palcak Sr.

Dear Sandra and Ed Jr,
Sending heartfelt condolences in your dad's passing. I have been thinking of him for the last 2 weeks. I spoke with him after your mom passed. I am Bette Jean Crouse-Peres. I lived downstairs from your family in Bridgeport. We visited each other in Bpt and when you lived in Huntington and we lived in Sandy Hook. I hope that all is well with you both and with your families. May God hold you and your families in His loving arms as you go through this sad time. You are in my prayers.
