Egbert Stone Obituary

STONE Egbert P. Stone, age 92, of Bridgeport entered eternal rest Sunday, June 27, 2010 in the comfort of his home. Born in Westmorland, Jamaica, West Indies, he was a resident of Bridgeport since 1972. Egbert was formerly employed as a security officer with ADT. He was a member of Bridgeport Apostolic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Nila Johnson Stone of Bridgeport; three sons, Byron Stone of Washington D.C., Lancelot Stone of California and John Stone of Massachusetts; one daughter, Mary Stone of Ansonia; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11a.m. at Bridgeport Apostolic Church, 499 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport with Pastor David Bradt, officiating. Interment will take place at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT following the service. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 10 to 11a.m. at the church. Morton's Mortuary 25 Margaret E. I met Mr. Stone at Optimus Health. He was the most pleasant person I had ever met. He will be missed by us tremendously. He was very dear to us. I send my condolences to his wife and family.
