Elsie Pekar Elliott, age 93, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Elliott, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fairfield, CT on April 14, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Mazcko) Pekar. Born the eighth of their nine children, she was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe HIgh School. By the age of twenty six Mrs. Elliott owned her own business as proprietor of The Rebel's Roost Diner on Route 1 in Milford, CT where she would eventually meet her future husband. She would go on to work as a switchboard operator for D.M. Read and also work alongside her father at Dictaphone Corporation; and once married would become a full-time wife and mother. Survivors include her three loving children, Kenneth Elliott and his life partner Paula Gropen of Clinton, CT, Lauran Elliott and his wife Catherine of Las Vegas, NV and Susan Elliott of Trumbull, CT; cherished grandchildren, Mark (Jean) Elliott of Brooklyn, NY, Jocelyn (Geoffrey) Celis of Staten Island, NY, Erica Elliott of East Haven, CT, Kelsey Williams of Trumbull, CT; great-grandson Theodore Celis of Staten Island, NY; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eight siblings: Irene Fazekas, William Pekar, Cornelia De Liberto, Ernest Pekar, Arthur Pekar, Edward Pekar, Frank Pekar and Albert Pekar.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, CT.
