Emanuele Caruso Obituary

CARUSO Emanuele Caruso, age 86, of Monroe, beloved husband for 60 years of Lucia Caruso, went to be with the Lord, peacefully at home, on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Mr. Caruso was born February 25, 1922 in Bridgeport. He grew up in Italy. He was a World War II concentration camp survivor, and worked in the coal mines of France for 12 years. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his loving wife, Lucia, a son, John (daughter-in-law, Donna); daughters, Nancy, Antoinette (son-in-law, Richard); and nine grandchildren, Joel, Aaron, Lucille, Christina, Jacob, Nicole, Luke, Zachery and Nathan. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 5, from 4 to 8 pm at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher and Son Community Funeral Home, Monroe. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Church, 498 White Plains Road, Trumbull, on Tuesday, January 6 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to: Hopeline, 237 White Street, Danbury, CT 06810 would be appreciated.

Manny
Sory I wasn't there for your final farewell. I will always remember our dancing ventures, sitting arounfd teh kitchen table talking but most of all the friendship we had. Will miss you.
