Erma Milo, age 94, of Bridgeport, passed into eternal rest Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at Northridge Health Care Center with her loving family by her side.
A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Erma was born Saturday, May 18th, 1918, the beloved daughter of Hungarian immigrants, Steve Kochik and Aranka Szalai. Erma was never "just a homemaker" she worked for many years in retail sales throughout the area all the while raising a large loving family with her beloved husband of forty-five years, Ernest Milo. In what little spare time Erma was blessed with she enjoyed crocheting and the feel of the sun upon her face. The firm yet loving matriarch of her family Erma will be sorely missed by all who had the joy of seeing her beautiful smile and making her acquaintance.
Erma is survived by her eight children; Robert (Barbara) Hunderson of Beacon Falls, NY, Elise Dubaise of Wallingford, CT, Francis (Kenneth) Foley of Bridgeport, CT, Joan Maisonette Anselmo of Bridgeport, Joyce Lucas of Mesa, AZ, Wallaus Tukis of Bridgeport, Patricia Salerno of Wallingford and Linda Trovonelli Ronald of Bridgeport. Erma also leaves to treasure her memories 31 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren in whose shining eyes and wide smiles Erma will always live on. In death Erma reunites with her beloved parents, Steve and Aranka, her younger siblings who predeceased her and her adored and adoring husband Milo.
Erma's family would like to give a special thanks to Northridge Healthcare Center for their loving care and to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care whose care and compassion in the last days of Erma's life went above and beyond.
