Eugenia Zaffis Obituary
Eugenia "Jeanne" (Bychkowski) Zaffis, age 93, of Easton, formerly of Trumbull, died on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was the widow of Constantine Zaffis.
Mrs. Zaffis was retired from Remington Arms where she had been employed as a secretary for 43 years. She was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church where she had been a member of the church choir and the balalaika orchestra.
She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and George Dulin of Easton; two grandsons, Alex Zujewski of Arizona and David Zujewski of Easton; and several nieces and nephews. She had been predeceased by her sister, Nellie Goss; and her brother, Nick Bychkowski.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 9:00 am at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford and at 10:00 am at Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, 1510 E. Main St., Bridgeport with Very Rev. Steven Belonick officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. Panikhida at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Holy Ghost RO Church, ATTN Myrrh Bearer Fund, 1510 E.
