Felix Echevarria Obituary

ECHEVARRIA Felix Echevarria Sr., age 70, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Daisy Robles-Echevarria, departed to be with our Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2012. A native of Panuelas, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late TeodomiroGuzman and Alberta Echevarria. Felix retired from the City of Bridgeport where he was employed at Parks and Recreations. Felix was also a retired employee at the Dinan Memorial Center where he was a chef. Felix loved baseball and was an avid New York Yankees fan and had a strong passion for cooking. Survivors include seven children Edgardo Echevarria of Bridgeport, Alicia Echevarria of FL, Felix Echevarria Jr. and his wife Martita of FL, Robert Echevarria and his wife Madeline of RI, Dominick Echevarria and his wife Nitza of Bridgeport, Marisol Echevarria of Bridgeport, Michelle Echevarria and her fiancée Jose, 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, two brothers Pedro Guzman and Hector Echevarria, two sisters Maria Teresa Rodriguez Guzman and Nereida Guzman, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers Eduardo and Jose Luis Echevarria.Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at 10am in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street Bridgeport, followed by interment in Park Cemetery Bridgeport. Alway Remember you and the times you and daddy will spend laughing and joking around. I also remember the times you took care of me and Rapthie when mom went to Puerto Rico. Heller just wanted to let u know u will always be missed, even with our crazy times to in knowin of each other, u were once a father and left this earth as my Grandfather, even in wich u stood as family and always will, from when i was just a baby we had some kind of weird family bound, from playin catch in the oddest way, wich is always a funny thing to look back on, till just recent we were bounding more then usual, wich in that time gave me a better outlook on who u were torwards me, i know your in a better place now, enjoy your new beginning, cuz it's just goin to get better for u, now that your with grandma, rest in peace to my grandfather felix, u will always be remembered...
