Florence Vestyck Obituary
Florence Vestyck, age 91 of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Vestyck, Jr., passed away peacefully Saturday, October 20, 2018, in her home. Florence was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and was a Trumbull resident for over sixty years. She is a retired hairdresser, worked at the voter polls and a long time parishioner of St. Theresa Church. Survivors include her devoted son Brian C. Vestyck and wife Lijun (Jessie) Wang, her granddaughter Rebecca (Rui) Gao, and a sister Julie Vengien, of Plymouth PA. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m., meeting directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in St. Casimir Cemetery, Muhlenburg, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Florence's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301. www.dav.org. Brian, please know the precious gift your mom gave me of her time, and her hospitality, is forever cheriished. Our time together was brief because of distance, though this hardly diminished the caring your mom gave me.
