Frank Darmos Obituary

Frank E. Darmos
Frank E. Darmos, "Frankie", age 77, of Shelton entered into rest on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of 46 years to Ann (Catena) Darmos. He was born in Bridgeport on Sept. 15, 1944, son of the late Frank and Florence (Cohen) Darmos.
Frank was employed as the President of Cramer and Company Manufacturing in Old Saybrook and also owned his own business in Stamford, Spray Painting For Industries. After retirement he took a position with Mazda of Milford. Frank loved music and played drums in his band called the Cool Tones. He also loved to fish and go on his boat. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is the beloved father of Amy-Lynn Allegro and her husband Christopher and Cory-Ann Cody and her husband Mark, loving grandfather of Sophia Allegro, Owen Allegro, Andrew Cody and Mia Cody, brother of Idalene St. Hilaire and Linda Kranyik. He is also survived by his mother in law Rose Catena, a wonderful friend Ken, several nieces and cousins. Frank had a special connection to his niece Kimmie, who donated her kidney to him. His family would like to thank Kaitlin Moran whose nursing care at Bridgeport Hospital meant so much to them.
Friends may greet his family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:45 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. To Ann and all of the wonderful Darmos family, Frank was the most respectful, kind, caring client and friend I had the pleasure of knowing in over 30 years as a RE paralegal. Such wonderful conversations we had about life, family, children and grandchildren, and even where to buy the best homemade kielbassi! I hold you all in my heart and prayers as Frank smiles down upon you. He was a great person.

My family and my deepest condolences to Ann, her mom, daughters Amy-Lynn, Cory-Ann and their families. Mr. & Mrs. Frank Kranyik, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas St. Hilaire. Frank will be dearly missed by our family alongside many others. Frank was like a big brother to me. He always had respect for mature and wiser people. Nothing, can replace him, except the great memories he left for us all. Our LORDS' blessings and comfort to all. May Frank enjoy the fruits of his labors as he now, can be in the presence of our Creator.

Ann and Family, I send you all my deepest condolences. I remember Frank's laugh at the antics my Uncle Peter Campo would do, or the jokes he would say to the kids in our family. Now the two friends are together. Sending hugs, Pam Starland Mieth (Joe Pisanelle's daughter)
