Frank LaCroix Obituary

LACROIX Frank Joseph LaCroix Sr., born July 20, 1926, entered into eternal rest July 29, 2009 at Treasure Coast Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side. Frank was married to his beloved wife of 59 years, Anne Marie, who passed away 10 days earlier. He was born in Bridgeport and moved to Port St. Lucie, Fla. in 2001. Frank retired from McKesson Laboratories as a commercial artist and enjoyed freelance painting in his spare time. Frank also loved spending time with his family and his many, many friends. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also was a wonderful caretaker to mom. He was predeceased by parents, Frank Xavier and Jennie LaCroix and his sisters, Edna Leahy, Grace Leary, Dorothy Noonon, and Hazel Mezick; his brothers, Al Noonon, William Noonon, and George Noonon. Frank is survived by his eight children, Frank LaCroix, Jr., David LaCroix of Bridgeport, Kenneth LaCroix (Zaida), Lawrence LaCroix (Joanne), Christopher LaCroix, all of Florida; daughters, Deborah Gaudio (Larry), Susanne Rooney (Gary), Jennifer Bernstein (Bob) all of Connecticut. Frank will be missed by his 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Christian Mass will be held for both Frank and Anne at St. Andrew's Church, 395 Anton Street, Bridgeport, Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. with internment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. The LaCroix Family also wishes to express their appreciation to the Treasure Coast Hospice Staff for their compassionate care and support. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayes Center for Hope (Treasure Coast Hospice), Administrative Headquarters, 1201 SE Indian Street Stuart, FL 34997.
