Frank Lucas Obituary

Lucas, Frank T.
Lucas, Frank Thomas Lucas, "the man, the myth, the legend" age 43, of Stratford, passed away suddenly on October 10, 2015 in his residence. He was born in Bridgeport on March 19, 1972 to his loving parents, Arthur and Nancy Van Stone Lucas. Frank will always be remembered as a hard worker, jokester and endless teaser. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants Fan. For some reason, animals tended to follow Frank home, just as they did with St. Francis. Through his life, Frank was blessed to have been supported by an amazing group of dear friends. In addition to his beloved parents, Arthur and Nancy, Frank is also survived by his fiancé, Precious Turnage of Stratford, three sons, Anthony, Giovonni, and Nathaniel, one daughter, Autumn, maternal grandmother, Elsie Van Stone, one sister, Gail Skarupa, Frank was the "fun" uncle to Danielle, Justin, Patrick, Ryan, Nicholas, Amber, Corey, Emma, CJ and Mary and is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Frank was pre-deceased by his infant brother Art, sister, Lynn, maternal grandfather, Raymond F. Van Stone and paternal grandparents, Frank and Agnes Lucas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. George F. O'Neill and Rev. Peter Lynch. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Wednesday from 4 – 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute to Frank's children's Education Fund through the funeral director. To celebrate a life, please visit us at www.galellofuneralhome.com.

Precious and Family: My deepest condolences to you all. I got to know Frank several years ago as we both were working to change our lives around and I had the pleasure of taking some pictures of Frank and Nat at the playground down the street from my house. I often saw Frank as he dropped Nat off a few houses down several times a week and I will miss those brief encounters as well as Frank in general. My best wishes for you all.
