Frederick Sego Obituary

Sego Jr, Frederick R.
Frederick R. Sego, Jr., 53, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sondra (Lupulio) Sego. Fred was born on March 10, 1960 in Bridgeport a son of Frederick R. Sego, Sr. and Velma (Gladu) Sego. He worked as a welder by trade since he was 18 but a jack of all trades master of them all. He belonged to the Local 478 Union of Operating Engineers. Fred was the hardest working man, 7 days a week 12 hour days. Fred put his family first before himself even giving up what he loved to do and that was hunting & fishing. His biggest sacrifice was not being able to spend more time with his family again because he had it in his mind that it just wasn't enough. His favorite saying was "It's all JUNK!" He will be so missed by many but one thing Fred was: A MAN OF HIS WORD! We will greatly miss his simplicity, honesty, common sense and laughter. Besides his parents and loving wife of 31 years Sondra, he is survived by his daughter, Candice Sego, his three sons, Frederick R. Sego III, Anthony Sego, and Nicholas Sego, two sisters, Terry Sego, and Wendy Robertson, one brother, Kevin Sego, and his granddaughter, Kayleanna Michaels. He was predeceased by one brother, Francis Sego. The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Rd, Rte. 69, Prospect is in charge of the arrangements.
