Gail Mercier Obituary

MERCIER Gail (Reardon) Cortina Mercier, age 59, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at her daughter"s home in Woodbury, on Friday, June 18, 2004, after a long illness. Ms. Mercier was born on March 18, 1945, in Bridgeport, a daughter of Pearl (Coleman) Reardon, and the late Dennis William Reardon. Gail was a graduate of Bullard Havens Regional Vocational-Technical School in Bridgeport, and worked for many years in hair design. She also had a long career at Vishay Vitramon Corp., where she was a computer technician. Gail"s warmth , spirit and determination and grace will always remain with us. Besides her mother, Pearl (Coleman) Reardon, she leaves her four devoted children, Dawn Cortina, Dennis Cortina, Kevin Cortina and Marc Mercier; cherished grandsons, David Cortina and Griffin Mercier; beloved sisters, Patti Gay, Denise Ianucci and Pamela Isaacs; beloved brothers, Brent Reardon and Billy Reardon; and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull. Family and friends may call at the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Monday, June 21, 2004, from 5 to 9 p.m. See www.spadfh.com for more information.

I was so sorry to read about the passing of dear Gail.One of my happy memories from the early 60's were the pajama parties at Gails house. I don't know how Mrs Reardon put up with us,but( God Bless Her )she did.My thoughts and prayers are with Gails family.
