Gary DePeano Obituary

Gary C. DePeano, Sr.
Gary Charles DePeano, Sr., age 75 of Lordship, the beloved husband of the late Linda (Denzel) DePeano, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, July 28, 2025. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (DeLuca) DePeano.
Gary was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Following his service, he worked for the Department of Corrections for over 20 years. In addition to his career in corrections, Gary had his own flooring business for over 40 years.
Gary loved trips to the casinos and especially Atlantic City with his wife. He enjoyed doing home improvement projects and rarely missed a Yankees or Giants game. A devoted family man, having a nice steak or Italian dinner just before the first pitch or kickoff was all he needed to be happy. Gary had a strong faith in God and always looked forward to Sunday morning Masses.
Gary is survived by his loving daughters, Christy DePeano and her wife, Rebecca Lautenslager and Jennifer DePeano and her husband, Michael Calabro; his son, Gary C. DePeano, Jr.; his brother, Michael Biroscak; and grandsons, Matthew Calabro and Ryan DePeano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lordship. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Union Cemetery.
