Gary Safferstein Obituary

SAFFERSTEIN Gary  Francis Safferstein, age 64, of Milford, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 4, 2006. A son of the late Jack and Millicent Yantz Safferstein, he was born on January 5, 1942. Mr. Safferstein was truck driver with Coca Cola for 28 years and a 30 year member of the Teamsters Local 1040 for 30 years before his retirement in 1996. He leaves three children, Deborah McMahon and her husband, Jim, of Prospect, Jackie Piccirillo of Milford, Gary Safferstein and his wife, Tricia, of Milford; a sister, Suzanne Manci of Sarasota, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Safferstein. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 7, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street, on the Green, Milford, followed by a service at 2 p.m. Committal will be private.
