George Tregger Obituary

TREGGER George K. Tregger, age 65, of Norwich, and formerly of Ledyard and Bridgeport, died on Thursday, November 13, 2003. He was the father of Gretchen E. Ficara of Shrewsbury, Mass., and Karla I. Tregger of New Orleans; brother of Karen Damkohler of The Villages, Fla.; and son of the late Sven and Evelyn (Stowe) Tregger. A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 440 Main Street, Shrewsbury, Mass. The family will receive relatives and friends at his daughter Gretchen"s home following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sherry"s House/Why Me, 316 Main Street, Suite 300, Worcester, MA 01608, in support of his daughter"s marathon fundraising run in Bermuda for them. George "Sonny" and I were married in 1957. We had a very friendly relationship but were very young and immature. I am deeply saddened by his passing and extend my sincere sympathy to his friends and family.
