Geraldine Travers Obituary
Geraldine S. Travers, age 84, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the CT Hospice with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert E. Travers. Mrs. Travers was born in Shelton, on January 19, 1932, daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Hummell) Rich and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Travers is the beloved mother of Gerri-Ann Harte and her husband James and Joan Truax and her husband David and sister of Toby DiCicco. She is the loving grandmother of Jamie, Sean and Mary Beth Harte, Megan Oldham and David Truax, Jr. and great grandmother of, Aiden and Riley Harte. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Monday, her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Her burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Center at Griffin Hospital, 130 Division St., Derby CT 06418. Friends may leave condolences at www.riverviewfh.com.

I learned to know Geraldine thru the eyes of her grandson Jamie. She sounded like a grandmother everyone wishes they had. May she rest in peace. I know she will be missed. My condolences to the entire family. Love, Alicia and Cammy
