Grace M. Hoppes

HOPPES Grace M. Hoppes, age 92, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Charles E. Hoppes, died on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at North Bridge Health Care, Bridgeport. Daughter of the late George and Mary Cuppenhaver Hurst, she was born on December 1, 1912, in Harrisburg, Pa., and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Mrs. Hoppes was a billing clerk at the former Kays department store in Bridgeport until her retirement. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport. Mother of Gary Hoppes and his wife, Linda, and George R. Hoppes and his wife, Pat, all of Milford; and grandmother of Michael, Jeffrey and Amy. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Cook of Wormleysburg, Pa. She was predeceased by a grandson, David Hoppes; and six brothers and sisters. Funeral services and interment will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2004, in Harrisburg, Pa. Arrangements in care of the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford.
