Gwendolyn Brown Rovner (Gwen), age 90, of Potomac, MD and formerly of Trumbull, CT and Boynton Beach, FL, died on August 24, 2025. Ms. Rovner was the daughter of the late Leo and Rebecca (Glass) Brown. She was the beloved wife of the late Sidney Rovner, whom she was married for 47 years.
She received a bachelor's degree from Boston University and a master's degree from Columbia University. She was an elementary school teacher, speech therapist, real estate agent and proprietor of the Wilton Bootery, a business she ran alongside her late husband. She loved traveling, playing bridge, gardening, and crossword puzzles, but her greatest love was the love of her family. She was an exceptional daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Ms. Rovner is survived by her children, Janice (Brian) Feldman and Robert (Susan) Rovner; by her five grandchildren, Matthew (Caroline), Rebecca (Jared), Alyse (Alex), Harrison, and Adam; and by her great-granddaughter, Madeline. She also leaves behind her devoted canine caregiver and best friend, Banks. Her sisters, Millicent and Winifred Brown, predeceased her. Memorial contributions may made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. A private service was held by the family.
