Hope Colligan Obituary

COLLIGAN Hope S. Colligan, adored mother and grandmother, age 92, of Bridgeport, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, in St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, N.Y. She was the widow of her dearly loved husband, Philip Francis Colligan. Born on May 30, 1912, Hope lived her entire life in Bridgeport and was a former employee of the City Trust Bank in Bridgeport. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, playing cards with friends and baking her famous nut rolls and cheesecake. She is survived by her treasured daughters, Geraldine Nargi of Trumbull and Barbara Zingone and her husband, Marco of Port Washington, N.Y.; her beloved granddaughters, Kristen Dellamarggio and her husband, Mark and Kara Nargi and her companion, Ronald Giacobbe; her cherished great- granddaughter, Juliana Dellamarggio, who was the light of her life; her brother, James Zavatsky and his wife, Eileen, of Oxford; sisters-in-law, Josephine Zavatsky of Bridgeport, and Jane Ouellette of Naples, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Anna Z. Mosser and brothers, Michael, Alexander, George and John Zavatsky. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 10:15 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:15 a.m. in the Holy Ghost Russian Orthodox Church, 1540 East Main Street, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. A Panakida service will be celebrated on 7 p.m. on Sunday.
