James Bindner Obituary
James T. Bindner, 95, of Black Rock, passed away peacefully in his home October 7th, 2023.
James is survived by his wife, Mary Lazar-Bindner; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Bindner and Jennifer Masterson of McKinney, TX; grandchildren Colin Bindner of Dallas, TX, Corey (Sarah) Bindner of Chattanooga, TN, Christina (Trenton) McCallie of Dallas, TX, great-grandson, Milo Bindner, Chattanooga, TN, along with several nieces and nephews, all of which will miss him dearly.
James is predeceased by his first wife, Williamina Sidey Bindner, his brothers, John, William, Robert and George Bindner and sister Magdalen DuBour.
James, a Black Rock native, graduated from Harding High School and later went on to serve the country as a Guardsman in the National Guard. James loved spending time with family and friends. He made time to have regular breakfasts with his phone company buddies from SNET, where he worked for 36 years until retiring. James enjoyed traveling in his free time.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, between 4-7 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center (The Lesko Building). His interment will take place in Mountain Grove Cemetery on Friday, October 13 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Foundation (www.DAV.org). I will miss you, Uncle Jimmy, but I'll see you again, buddy. You, Mary and I had a lot of good times together. Mary, you and I still will . Tom, I am so sorry, but so glad you got to spend time with him just a short time ago. Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers.

I was lucky enough to be Jim´s supervisor for a couple of years. I was 24 years younger than him when I became a manager. The irony of being so much younger than he was gave Jimmy fuel to keep reminding me that I was a "babe in the woods".
He was one of the kindest guys I ever knew. Heaven is lucky to have him. Thanks for helping me be a better person and manager Jim. Put in a good word for me, I need the help!
