James Malloy Obituary

MALLOY James C. Malloy, age 56, of Terryville, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Sanford, N.C., James traveled extensively and spent the last 15 years between New Haven and Terryville, where he resided for the last five years. He received a BA of fine arts from Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, and a MA in drawing/painting education from SUNY, Albany, N.Y., and served as a graduate drawing instructor at SUNY. James was a new disciple of the Full Gospel Pentecostal COGIC, and was a member of the NASW. His father, Samuel E. Malloy, predeceased him. Survivors include his mother, Essie Lou Hancock Malloy of Stratford; two brothers, Samuel Malloy Jr. of New York, and Mark Malloy of Massachusetts; three sisters, Linda, Diane and Sarita Malloy, all of Stratford; and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2004, at 8 p.m. at Full Gospel Pentecostal COGIC, 36 Beechwood Avenue, Bridgeport, with Bishop T. Walter Plummer, pastor, officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may view from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Morton's Mortuary Inc., 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport, is in charge of arrangements.

attended Bassick High School.

i just want to say that james malloy was a very special person. i should no because that was my uncle i love him so much he did everything to help my family with when we needed something. He would give us anything we asked for even a little dollar or two. My payers are with him and i love him to death and we still have him in spirt. love ya dearly, Porsha Young
