James Michael Patrick, 60, of Mobile, Alabama, beloved husband of Tamara Stucky Patrick, passed away peacefully at home with Tammy by his side on July 27, 2025, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bridgeport on March 12, 1965, to Peter and Cynthia Kovacs Patrick of Fairfield, Jim was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School Class of 1983 and received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Connecticut in 1987.
Fascinated by all things on wheels since the day he took that first spin around the house on his Playskool Tyke Bike, Jim followed his passion for cars by embarking on a career within the auto industry. Prior to his passing, Jim was employed by Allstate as an auto claims adjuster. His integrity, extensive breadth and depth of knowledge and keen negotiating skills were highly respected by his peers and he served as a mentor to new employees.
Jim's legacy will live on through the many lives he touched, his deep love of family and faith, and friendships he embraced throughout the years with sincerity, warmth, and a sense of humor.
Survivors, in addition to his beloved wife Tammy of 35 years and his parents, include his devoted sons Brandon (Cady), Caleb (Devin), and Seth (Courtney) Patrick of the Mobile area, and cherished grandchildren Payson, Jameson, Griffin and Brooklyn. Jim also leaves his sister Kathleen and her husband Joseph Laudano of Verona, NJ, Aunt Marilyn Hunchak of Oxford, Uncle Reverend George Patrick of Monroeville, PA, and dear cousins Sharon Mulligan, Robert Hunchak (Joanne), MaryLou Hunchak, Pamela Ward (James) and Christopher Hunchak (Sharon). Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, his Uncle Robert Hunchak, and his aunt, Pani Patricia Patrick.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass in Jim's memory on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield.
