Jean Chasen Obituary

CHASEN Jean L. Chasen, age 73, of Fairfield, a retired credit manager for Klaff's, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2005, at Milford Hospital. Born in Stratford, the daughter of the late Charles E. Harrison Jr. and Charlotte (Wignall) Harrison, she had been a Fairfield resident for the last 50 years. A lifelong member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, she belonged to the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA), the Altar Guild and administered to the altar flower list. Mrs. Chasen enjoyed bowling and her Friday night card games at the Scandinavian Club in Fairfield. She will be lovingly remembered as an artistic loving mother and homemaker. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Chasen and was predeceased by Robert F. Seavey Sr. Survivors include three children, Robert F. Seavey Jr. of Greenwich, Deborah J. Bertrand of Orlando, Fla. and Cynthia M. Lopez and her husband, Miguel, of Boca Raton, Fla.; five grandchildren, Zoë, Jacques, Michelle, Isabelle and Julianne; a brother, Wesley Harrison of Maine; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Harrison. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (Today) December 7, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Christoffersen, Pastor, officiating. A burial service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield with the Rev. John Kidd officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Chasen may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 160 Hill Farm Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
