Jean Dillon Obituary
Jean Marie Dillon, age 92, of Shelton, died on August 15, 2024, with loving family at her side.
Jean is survived by her siblings, Thomas Dillon of Shelton, Ann Jane Pow of East Lyme, William Dillon (Elaine) of Port St Lucie, Florida, James Dillon (Paulette) of Stratford, Joseph Dillon (Marina) of Redlands CA, and three generations of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas Bernard Dillon and Anna Marie Huresky Dillon of Stratford, her sister, Maryann Dillon of Milford, Edward Dillon of Stratford and her lifelong friend, Eileen McMahon of Bridgeport.
She was everyone's Aunt Jean and is most remembered for her stubbornness, perfectionism and heart of Gold! We never did meet her "husband in the closet" and she never did understand a good joke! Hmmm, "Aunt Jean, Why is 6 afraid of 7?"
Friends may call on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church. Burial at St. Michael Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jean's favorite charities were St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Tunnels to Towers. Hi Patti, So sorry to miss Jean's Wake this morning. I didn't know about it and didn't know Jean's last name to check. Oh well. Please know you and the family are in my prayers for peace during this time of mourning. I'll miss you too. Please stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
