Jean Fogg Obituary

Jean E. Fogg
Jean Elizabeth Fogg, a lifelong resident of Ansonia, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born to Louis Gardella and Eleanor Battaglia. She shared 65 precious years with Harold "Bud" Fogg Jr. Their enduring love and partnership were the heart of Jean's life. She was a 1959 graduate of Ansonia High and was a member of Holy Rosary Church, where her father's gift of a stained-glass window bearing her name remains a lasting tribute to her. Known for her love of shopping, dining out at new restaurants, and watching QVC, Jean had a keen eye for treasures. She was an avid collector, with cherished collections of Ty Beanie Babies, Elvis memorabilia, and porcelain dolls. Jean could often be found down at the Elk's Club dancing on Friday nights with Bud, a pastime she greatly enjoyed. Jean was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she took great pride in being a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, whether playing cards, traveling with Bud to Lake George, or simply enjoying the company of family at home. Her favorite colors were black and pink, and she had a special love for anything sparkly-whether it was her clothes, her treasured jewels, or the simple pleasures of life. Jean is survived by her devoted husband, Harold "Bud" Fogg Jr.; her children, Deborah Jean Gifford (Frank) and Michael Allen Fogg (Cori); grandchildren Heath Gifford (Danielle), Heather Grass (Christopher), Nicole Wheeler (Jon), Tonya Gifford (Keith), David Fogg (Samantha), Christopher Fogg (Crystal), and Vincent Kantorski; as well as great-grandchildren Ian, Jace, Emily, Devin, Natasha, Robert, Luke, Averill, Ethan, Jacob, Hunter, Harper, and Kaden. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia. At 11:00 am a funeral service in celebration of Jean's life will take place with Reverend Dominic Thomas officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
