Jerald Doyle Obituary
Reverend Monsignor Jerald A. Doyle, JCD, died Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield, CT.
Monsignor was born in Bridgeport on October 4, 1943. He was ordained in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, Italy, on December 19, 1969. He holds a doctorate in Canon Law from St. Paul University in Ottawa, Canada. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Vivian Doyle; his sister and her husband, Patricia and Edmund Curran; and his brother and his wife, Anthony and Nancy Doyle.
He is survived by siblings, Sr. Colleen Doyle, RSM, of West Hartford, Julia Gluhanich of Trumbull, Dennis Doyle of Hudson, FL; 12 nieces and nephews, 17 grandnieces and nephews, and several cousins.
Family and friends may call on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4pm-8pm at Pistey Funeral Home, now located at 2611 Main St., Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, CT, at 10:30am. Interment in the Priest's Circle at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniels Farm Rd., Trumbull, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in his memory are welcome and encouraged.
