Jerome Gold Obituary

With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Jerry Gold, devoted husband of Selma Widlitz Gold, beloved father of Gary (Suzanne) and Lisa, and proud grandfather of Alex, Melanie, and Jaden. He was a dear brother-in-law to Susan Widlitz, and cherished his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Nettie, his brother, Marty, and brother-in-law, Charles Widlitz.
Jerry will be remembered for his humor, warmth, friendliness to all and endless smiles he gave and shared across his life. He was the owner of Harper's, a volunteer at the Jewish Home, an Inwood Board member, and a lifelong Yankees fan. His happiest moments were with family and friends, especially in St. Maarten, his happy place.
A graveside service will take place Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at B'nai Israel Cemetery, 472 Moose Hill Rd., Monroe, CT. To join the live stream and share condolences, visit greensfuneralhome.com. Shiva will be observed on Thursday, from 2-7 PM at Selma Gold's residence in Bridgeport, CT.
