Joan Ziomek Korolyshun

KOROLYSHUN Joan Ziomek Korolyshun of Derby, entered into rest on Saturday, February 28, 2009 in her home with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Russell Korolyshun. Mrs. Korolyshun was born in Derby on July 27, 1917, daughter of the late John and Helen Augustyn Korolyshun, and has been a life long Derby resident. She was a long time communicant of St. Michael's Church Derby were she was involved in many groups including the ladies guild and choir. She was also a member of the Catholic War Vets Ladies Auxiliary. She is the beloved mother of Russell Korolyshun, John Korolyshun, and his wife, Arlene, Richard Korolyshun Esquire, and his wife, Janice, Robert Korolyshun, and his wife, Kathleen, William Korolyshun, and his wife, Laureen, and Mary McHugh and her husband, Keith. She also leaves nine cherished grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Anthony, and Joseph Ziomek, and a sister, Stella Tomaziewski. Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Derby. Burial will follow in St. Michael Church.
