I wanted to express my condolences on Joan's death. My dad, Bob McCabe, was a classmate of your parents at St. Clement. Following my dad's death, she and I would speak periodically on the phone. It pleased me to be able to speak with an old schoolmate of his and to hear her stories about her days in Medford. Although we had never met in person, it was always a pleasure for me to be able to talk with her. I wanted to express my sympathies for your loss.

I am grateful for the wonderful memories I have of Aunt Joan and the entire Mahoney clan. It was such a gift to share beautiful Cape Cod and the sun & sand at Buck´s Pond for so many summers with the whole crew. Aunt Joan always displayed a rare combination of positive attitude and down-to-earth practicality which I admire to this day. She will be greatly missed. My love to all the Mahoneys...
