Joao G. "John" Ramos

RAMOS Joao (John) G. Ramos, age 43, of Stratford, beloved husband of Karen (Larrow) Ramos and loving father of John Robert Ramos and Alexander Americo Ramos, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Yale-New Haven Medical Center. Born in Vilasboas, Portugal, to Joao and the late Laurinda Gomes Ramos, he had resided in the United States since 1977. He was employed by Pereira and Sons Construction Co. He was a longtime member of the Vasco da Gama Club and enjoyed fishing with his sons. In addition to his wife, father and sons, he is survived by two brothers, Albertino Ramos, and his wife, Joanne, of Waterbury and Jack Ramos of Portugal; three sisters, Ermelinda Ramos, Marina Ramos and Beatrice Rodrigues, all of Portugal; two brother-in-laws, Darin Larrow of Georgia and Kevin Larrow, and his wife, Joanne, of Beacon Falls; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by a brother, Crizostimo Ramos. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, April 25, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. in the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Startford, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
