John Beecham Obituary
John H. Beecham Jr., a cherished family man and skilled craftsman, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, in Derby, CT, at the age of 67.
He worked for many years as an auto body tech at Breezy Point in Stratford.His love of cooking led him to also delight patrons as a grill cook at the Windmill Restaurant in Stratford and 2 Guys in Wallingford.
John is survived by his loving family, including his son, John and wife, Heather, and their children, Alexis, Camryn, Christian, Devin and Danni; his daughter, Stacey and husband, Jeffrey, and their children, Grace and Jocelyn; his youngest son, Brett; and his brothers, Jim and Bill Beecham. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Bakunas) Beecham, with whom he shared a beautiful life and who was waiting to welcome him into Heaven's embrace.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 700 p.m. at Pistey Funeral Home, NOW located at 2611 Main Street, Stratford. Interment on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Cemetery, Stratford. I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing. We were friends for many years at The Windmill; I will always remember his kind, outgoing personality and great sense of humor. He was truly one of a kind, and I'm privileged to have known him and called him a friend. My deepest condolences to his family and many friends. May he rest in peace.
