John Brodacki Obituary

BRODACKI John R. Brodacki Sr., age 84, husband of the late Dorothy Young Brodacki, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Friday November 20, 2009 at the Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Brodacki was born in Jewett City on May 25, 1925 son of the late Anthony and Eva Arnovska Brodacki. A resident of Ansonia since 1970, he was employed as a press operator. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by a loving and devoted son, Raymond M. Brodacki of Ansonia; three grandsons, John R. Brodacki III, Matthew Brodacki, and Joseph Brodacki; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son John R. Brodacki Jr.; a daughter, Ann Marie Diaz; a brother, Richard J. Brodacki; and a sister Anna Barbara Lennon. Visiting hours for Mr. Brodacki will be held on Monday morning Nov. 23, 2009 from 8:30am until 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 9:45 a.m. his funeral will process to St. Joseph's Church in Ansonia for a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial with U.S. Navy military honors will follow in Mt.
