John Heingartner Obituary

HEINGARTNER John C. Heingartner Jr., age 50, devoted husband of Theresa Gasbarri Heingartner of Seymour, died on Tuesday evening, January 7, 2003, at his home following a valiant battle with cancer. John was born in Bridgeport, on September 11, 1952, son of Carol Mitchell Kehlenbeck of Ansonia, and the late John Heingartner Sr. A resident of Seymour for 18 years, he had been in the fire restoration business. John was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. He loved to meet new people and was always making friends wherever he went. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two brothers, William Kehlenbeck and his wife, Shari, and Robert Kehlenbeck and his wife, Suzanne, all of Ansonia; a sister, Edith Anderson of Ansonia; his nieces and nephews, Derek, Amanda and Robbie Anderson, and Kristen, Emily, Chloe, Matthew and Zachary Kehlenbeck, all of Ansonia; sister-in-law, Laura Wabno and her children, Erica and Scott Wabno of Derby; brother-in-law, David Gasbarri of Seymour; mother-in-law, Dolores Campanelli of Seymour; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2003, at 9:15 a.m. from the Spinelli-Malerba Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael s Church in Derby. Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter s Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to St. Michael s Church Redevelopment Fund, Derby Avenue, Derby, CT 06418, or through the funeral home.
