Mr. Lynch, my daughter began kindergarten at St. James in Sept. 2017. Right away we clicked. After a handful of conversations and he realized that I work in law enforcement, that was it!! From that moment on I was greeted with a hug (pre-covid) and greeted with a smile and an air hug after covid, it was as if he saw me as family after that. Rain or shine outside smiling & greeting the students in the morning and outside smiling and waving at dismissal time in the afternoon. I vividly remember the day I caught him outside at the end of the 2020 school year & he broke the news to me that he was retiring to spend more time with his family, especially the grandkids. He was so excited. Stern and firm when necessary but a gentle giant at the same time. Take your rest now, job well done, faithful & humble servant of God. Forever loved by family, students, teachers, staff and parents.

Mr. Lynch! You were an amazing man! You always went out of your way one way or another! I had issues with getting my daughter to school and making my 7:31 train and every morning Mr. Lynch would open that gym door by 7:20! Rain or shine! And if he was a few minutes late he would apologize as if I was doing him a favor and not the other way around! That little gesture meant the world to me and I would forever be grateful to him for that! I stopped by and said my goodbyes tonight! Jack you will be missed!
