John Posca Obituary

John Posca
John Posca, age 61 of Trumbull, passed away after a long illness at Yale New Haven on July 30, 2019.
Born on April 9, 1958 he was the son of Mariantonia Posca and the late Lorenzo Posca. In addition to his mother, he is survived by siblings Fran DiBiase and husband Rick, Josephine Mirafiore, Antonio Posca, niece Christina Mirafiore, nephew Dante and wife Miyuki Mirafiore, several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
After some struggles, he turned his life around and the family was whole again. He in turn dedicated himself to caring for his parents.
John was an avid sports fan, loved his Yankees, Giants and UConn Women. He was a history, old movie and sports trivia buff, his knowledge was unending. He was a huge animal lover, he leaves his cat Geno and bird Eli. He was also a skilled machinist by trade.
John looked forward to the holidays all year, saving and generously buying gifts for all without expecting anything in return. He will be sorely missed.
A celebration of family and friends will be held at a later date.

My sincere condolences go out to the family. Although i only knew John a few years, he was always very kind and quite funny. He was a very good man and definitely an animal lover! May he rest in peace and be remembered always in a good light. As this candle shines, so will he always!!!
