To the Small family:
I just learned of John's passing so I
was unable to attend his services.
My memories of John as a colleague are those of a gentleman, a pleasant and
compassionate individual with whom I
shared many cases. After he retired, I
would always see John and wife at the
Greater Bridgeport Symphony concerts which they attended faithfully.
My respects to Ann, Jeffrey and the rest of the family.

To the Small family,
I was a patient of Dr. Small's many years ago. I am saddened to hear of his death just as I was saddened to hear of his retirement. I met Dr. Small after having seen several urologists over a period of years. None of the previous urologists could help me. I had become very frustrated and depressed. Then along came my miracle doctor. I immediately loved this man. He had a wonderful bedside manner and was very compassionate and genuine. He was the one that finally cured me. When he told me a short time later that he was retiring, I was so sad. But I have to thank God for Dr. Small because since then I have had no recurrences of my problem. I just thought I would share my thoughts with his family today because I'm sure his passing is a terrible tragedy to all of you. I can only imagine how many lives he has touched in such a kind and loving way - may his soul rest in peace. God Bless all of his family through this difficult time.
