I had the pleasure of working with John at Fire Headquarters, he in Training Division, me in Arson Division.
A favorite memory of mine was the Chocolate Cake John had baked and brought to the second floor. I went into the kitchen and helped myself to a nice piece only to find out it tasted of garlic. I said, "John I've never had Garlic Cake" He thoought about it for a minute and said, Oh,it must have absorbed the garlic from the pot of gravy I was making.
May a truly wonderful man rest peacefully. My sincere condolences his wife, children, family and friends.
