John Zotack
John "Jack" Zotack, age 86, of Stratford and formerly Fairfield, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, at his home with his loving friends and caregivers by his side. Jack was born on May 9, 1937, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late John F Zotack and Olga Koletar Zotack… He was raised in Bridgeport where he met his childhood sweetheart Phyllis Mannoni, and they married in 1958. They moved to Fairfield and began their lives journey together of 62 years until the time of Phyllis's passing in 2020… Jack and Phyllis owned the Koletar Insurance Agency in Bridgeport and then in Fairfield. Jack and Phyllis retired in 2005 and moved to Oronoque Village in Stratford where they both truly enjoyed the retired life with friends close by. Jack loved to play tennis, was a member of Oronoque Village Tennis Club and was a former OVTC Champion… Besides tennis, Jack enjoyed traveling with Phyllis, playing his Wurlitzer organ, bowling, swimming, playing cards and trips to the casino. Jack & Phyllis were avid Dog Lovers having many pet dogs throughout their lives. They were proud supporters of local animal charities, and that support will continue in their memory. Jack is survived by his canine friend, Mollie who gave him so much joy over the past 3 years of his life, special friend and caregiver Joseph Dedo of Southbury, friend and caregiver Shokhista "Jackie" Khanbabaeva, three step nephews, Mark Kovacs and wife, Jeanette of Shelton, Richard B. I had the privilege of playing with the " Legends of Tennis ", Jack always had a quick wit that made me laugh and a very tricky spin on the ball I could never return!
May the Lord bless you,

Jack was a great friend and a member of the "Legends of Tennis " tennis group. He had a salty sence of humor that is hard to forget. His "are we having fun yet " was typical. I wil miss him. Ben Snaider

Thank you for the many special memories Uncle Jack. I will remember your sense of humor, laughter, and that you taught us how to give "the bird"... a truly useful and priceless gift.
