To the Beler Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Coach Beler's passing. I cannot begin to tell you how much he inspired me during my years at JLHS. He continued to offer his support during my years after as i followed his footsteps in coaching baseball. He was a great inspiration to me.

Melissa and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing! I will never forget his laughter and the good times we had at my mom and step-dad's (Pat and Joe Heard) place in West Haven. He was such a wonderful friend to both of them.

To the Beler family, this past few days have been rough, from remembering all the funny, amazing times ive personally had with joe, when i heard his name is would think of teeth. I remember seeing him him at the foran law thanksgiving day game, and i remember him asking if i knew who he was and i answered teeth? Great times, I cry often at the thought of not seeing his smiling face or him joking around and taking out his teeth. He had coached with my dad at many many places i cant even name, but my dad grew to love him and they became best friends, i can't believe hes gone. My heart goes out his family, for loosing such a great man, a friend, a coach, and a role model. I love and miss him, RIP joe<33333333333

My Deepest Sympathy to the Beler Family;
Mr. Beler was a fun loving teacher. I had Mr. Beler for a few classes and he was fun but yet stern. But you knew he cared about you. I pray God's peace upon the Beler family during your time of bereavement.
God Bless you.

My deepest condolences to the Beler family and all those close to Joe Beler Jr. I played for Coach Beler at Foran High for three years. During this time he exemplified what it meant to be dedicated to what you believed in and to stand up for what you thought was right. After graduating high school our paths separated but the lessons he taught remain with me to this day. Unfortunately the world has lost a good man. However, the legacy of caring and determination that Joe Beler Jr. has left behind has made the world a better place that will endure as his spirit will be in all those he touched in his life.

One of the most compassionate acts I ever saw an educator do was done by this man.He never boasted about his behind the scenes acts .He was a friend when the going was tough ,he was kind even when he knew none would see , he was Dad to his students when they needed a Dad.Milford is a better place because we had Joe Beler Jr.

I played for Coach Beler at Milford Academy for two years. He was an
inspiration to me and helped me go on with my career in football. He
stressed the value of dedication if your goal was to be achieved. After
my Milford Academy time he kept in touch. I will miss him and always
