While I didn't know Joe very well, as a member of the JLHS Class of 1965 I do remember his athletic endeavors. I am sad at his passing and yet know that he has left great memories to his family and his friends. God Bless you all.

To the Beler Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Coach Beler's passing. I cannot begin to tell you how much he inspired me during my years at JLHS. He continued to offer his support during my years after as i followed his footsteps in coaching baseball. He was a great inspiration to me.

Melissa and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing! I will never forget his laughter and the good times we had at my mom and step-dad's (Pat and Joe Heard) place in West Haven. He was such a wonderful friend to both of them.

To the Beler family, this past few days have been rough, from remembering all the funny, amazing times ive personally had with joe, when i heard his name is would think of teeth. I remember seeing him him at the foran law thanksgiving day game, and i remember him asking if i knew who he was and i answered teeth? Great times, I cry often at the thought of not seeing his smiling face or him joking around and taking out his teeth. He had coached with my dad at many many places i cant even...
